Knowledge management is the process of capturing, distributing, and effectively using knowledge (Davenport 1994).

 

“Knowledge management is a discipline that promotes an integrated approach to identifying, capturing, evaluating, retrieving, and sharing all of an enterprise’s information assets. These assets may include databases, documents, policies, procedures, and previously un-captured expertise and experience in individual workers” (Duhon, 1998).

 

Knowledge management is essentially about getting the right knowledge to the right person at the right time (Alan Frost M.Sc., 2015)

 

Knowledge management is the deliberate and systematic coordination of an organization, people, technology, processes, and organizational structure in order to add value through reuse and innovation (Kimiz Darkir).

What I think

Knowledge management is help enterprises to implement sharing explicit knowledge and tacit knowledge by a new approach.

If we compare knowledge management to a television, information management is seems like a circuit board.

Knowledge management should have a good information management to be foundation.

Knowledge management is not only “manage knowledge”,  but also promote the knowledge of the operation,

increase the efficiency of knowledge that you have. That include establish a knowledge base;

Promoting the staff’s knowledge exchange; To set up a internal environment which is respect knowledge;

Managing knowledge as an asset.
